FBC Missions

Matthew 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit , and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Acts 1: 8 "You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

FBC has a passion to "go and make disciples" in as many ways as we can, and in as may places as we can, including in our own "Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and the ends of the earth".

  • KENYA

JUNE OR JULY TIME FRAME, EXPECT A 2 TO 2 1/2 WEEK LONG TRIP

    APPROX. COST IS $3500

Come join us for a real adventure in missions and become a short-term volunteer missionary.  During the month of June, we will return to the Hope Centre orphanage located in Oyuma, Kenya.  The trip will last 2-½ to 3 weeks.  The exact dates and duration will be determined by the availability of volunteers.  The work will include Bible studies for orphans and women of the community, helping kids with their studies, leading daily devotions, helping with Christmas in June, and taking kids to a nearby pool.

We will also build three Houses of Hope.  To do this, we partner with the Kenya Baptist Association to find a village that needs a new evangelical church.  In that village, we build a house for a destitute widow.  In return, the widow allows us to use the house for a church building.  The Kenya Baptist Association assigns and trains a pastor to lead the new church.  This year, we start a new work with an unreached people group called the “Waregi”. If you can dig a hole, saw a limb, or hammer a nail, you can help with this important work.

If you are interested in going or would like additional details, please call Bob Waldrop at (770) 330-1125 or send an email to bobw@lhmi.org.
