We exist to provide loving care and guidance for children during their formative years. Because we believe that each child learns at a different rate, we provide small classes to insure that each child receives individual attention. Our program has been planned for children six weeks through pre-k with the goal of assisting them in their mental, emotional, social, physical and spiritual development.

Our program uses a Christian-based curriculum, Wee-Learn, which was developed by  Lifeway Publishing for church-based preschools. All classrooms use lesson plans to implement the curriculum and all teachers have extensive training in teaching preschoolers.  All lead teachers have Associate, CDA (Child Development Associate) or higher degrees (or are in the process of obtaining).  Teachers have CPR and first aid certification, as well as training in fire safety.

We offer several programs for children during the week. Half day classes are available for children one year through five. Full day classes are held for children six weeks through five years and children through second grade are accepted into a summer program.

COVID-19 Update

April 17, 2020

The First Baptist Weekday Education Center is currently closed. While plans are uncertain at this time, we are tentatively planning to reopen in some capacity on June 15, after the current state of emergency expires on June 12. Many unknowns remain. For example, we may need to reduce class sizes to allow for more social distancing. Since there is so much uncertainty, we have temporarily suspended registration until we get more information and have a plan in place. However, if you are interested in our center,  you may submit an application to be put on our waiting list.

The safety of our children and staff is our highest priority. We will keep this page updated with the latest information as we make decisions concerning reopening in a way that keeps everyone in our center as safe as possible.
