Every Christian desires to "be right" about their faith. How we live out our faith holds eternal significance. But in order to be right, we must know what, why, and how come we believe in Christ. It can be argued that no book of the Bible has had a greater effect on Christianity than the book of Romans. In this classic commentary by Dr. Warren W. Wiersbe, you can refresh your own understanding of this seminal work, Paul's masterpiece letter to the church in Rome. Dr. Wiersbe's careful exposition of the text allows the truth to soak into your heart and mind as you read and understand these essential truths of Scripture.

In the Kingdom Books, we see that God is a Promise Keeper. He had indeed given His people the land He had promised them, but the inhabitants were fierce, experienced warriors. It would have been an impossible mission had not the God of the universe, the all-powerful One, been on their side. Those entering the Promised Land were the children of those who had left Egypt; therefore, many of them had only heard of God's faithfulness as He led their parents through the wilderness to the Promised Land. Yet through Moses' capable leadership, they were strong in their faith and determined to obey the Living God and establish a land and a nation that would be a blessing to all the earth. So, with their confidence in Yahweh, the Israelites began the march into the land God had given them. The Kingdom Books, (Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings) include the conquering of the land, the ruling of the judges, and the uniting and the dividing of the kingdom. These books end with Israel conquered and scattered and Judah destroyed and exiled.

GET OUT OF YOUR HEAD: A STUDY IN PHILIPPIANS

    BY: JENNIE ALLEN

    TEACHER: CHARLA ADCOCK

    MONDAYS, 8:00-9:00 PM USING ZOOM

    CLASs is full

Research shows on average a person has at least 30,000 thoughts per day... 80% of those thoughts are negative! Are your thoughts holding you captive? Author Jennie Allen knows what it's like to swirl in a spiral of destructive thoughts. As she discovered in her own life, God built a way for us to escape that downward spiral. Freedom comes when we refuse to be victims of our thoughts and realize we have already been equipped with power from God to fight and win the war for our minds.

The "Get Out Of Your Head" Bible study inspires and equips us to transform our emotions, our outlook, and even our circumstances by taking control of our thoughts. Our enemy is determined to get in our heads to make us feel helpless, overwhelmed, and incapable of making a difference for the kingdom of God.But when we submit our minds to Christ, the promises and goodness of God flood our lives in remarkable ways.
