Register for worship HERE

First Baptist Church of Ellijay Family,

We are so excited to share the details of our Regathering Plan with you! We are excited to see you and excited to worship together once again. The church staff and the Safety Advisory Team have diligently prayed and sought God’s wisdom as we’ve worked on our plan for coming back together. We believe this plan is a measured first step back the allows us to meet together while at the same time keeping our friends and family safe.

Our first Sunday back will be June 21, and we will follow the current Regathering Plan through Sunday, August 2. While plans continue to be fluid, we are prayerfully anticipating that we will resume all normal activities the second week in August.

In preparation for our first Sunday back, please read the plan below carefully. If you plan to attend worship on campus, we ask that you REGISTER so we have an accurate count as we are finalizing plans.

We love you and look forward to worshiping together again!

FBC Ellijay Regathering Plan

June 21 - August 2, 2020

We will have worship services at 8:30, 9:45, and 11:00. Beginning Sunday, July 12, masks will be required in the 8:30 service. Each service will last about 45 minutes to allow for cleaning and sanitizing between services. We will not have childcare at this time; “Busy Bags” will be available for young children. Sunday school classes will not meet.

Online worship services will continue on our website, Facebook, and YouTube for those who are not yet comfortable worshiping on campus.

Due to social distancing protocols, we ask families and individuals to register for on-campus worship services each week through the summer. REGISTER online at or call the church office, 706-635-5611. One registration per family unit. Registration will open June 8.

Please stay in your cars until 10 minutes before the service starts. We ask that you not congregate in the parking lot.

Enter and exit the building using the Welcome Center doors and the main sanctuary doors in the front of the building. Ushers and greeters will be available to open doors and direct you in and out.

When you enter the sanctuary, please go directly to your seat. We will be seating people from front to back and using every other row. Family units will sit together; allow 6 feet distance between your family unit and others at all times. Please follow the guidance of the ushers and greeters as they seat you.

When the service is over, we will dismiss from back to front. Please exit the building as quickly as possible to allow for cleaning and sanitizing between services.

If possible, please refrain from using the restroom while at church. The Welcome Center restrooms will be open for use if necessary.

For your safety and the safety of those around you, all attendees are encouraged to bring and wear their own masks. In our continued efforts to make in-person worship comfortable for all who wish to attend, our 8:30 service will be a "mask required" service beginning Sunday, July 12.

Please stay at least 6 feet away from those outside your group at all times.

If anyone in your family is feeling sick or experiencing COVID-19 related symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell) we request that your family worship at home. If anyone in your family has been in contact with an individual diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days, we request that your family worship at home.

Please refrain from hugging or shaking hands at this time.

Greeters, ushers, and all volunteers will be wearing masks and gloves and adhering to “contact free” worship service guidelines.

• Ushers will have offering plates available at the end of the service to receive your tithes and offerings.

• We will not hand out bulletins during this time. Newsletters will continue to be posted electronically, emailed, and mailed.
