First Baptist Church of Ellijay Family,

We have often said in the past several months that we find ourselves in unprecedented times. As we begin to think about "what next," it becomes very apparent that our path forward will require much flexibility, patience, and grace. We miss you! We long for the time when we can see your faces and come together in worship once again. At the same time, we must be wise and cautious as we move forward. We take the responsibility to keep our church family safe very seriously, and we covet your prayers as we seek God's wisdom and clear direction.

One thing we unanimously agree on is that we don't want to begin meeting for worship again until the whole church family can be together. Based on the governor's latest executive order, which mandates that AT-RISK GROUPS CONTINUE TO SHELTER IN PLACE UNTIL JUNE 12, we have set June 21 as our tentative "start-back" date.

As we prayerfully begin careful steps forward, we ask that you continue to be safe. Continue to follow current CDC GUIDELINES and STATE DIRECTIVES. Continue to reach out to the church family, especially those who are in the at-risk category and must continue to shelter in place. Continue to let us know of needs that arise. Pray for leadership as we formulate plans and make decisions.

We love you and look forward to the time we are all worshiping together again!
