Advent Resources

The season of Advent is a time of expectant waiting and anticipation as we prepare our hearts to celebrate Jesus' birth. During the four Sundays leading up to Christmas, beginning November 29, our worship services will focus on the themes of hope, love, joy, and peace. We invite you to join us as we remember God's faithfulness and look forward to celebrating the coming of our Savior. Click HERE for information on our worship services.

Celebrating Advent is not limited to Sunday mornings; we encourage you to continue the celebration in your homes as well. We have compiled a wide variety of resources including daily devotionals for adults and families, and activity books for children of all ages. All are highly recommended and beautiful reminders of the real reason we celebrate Christmas. We have sample copies of most resources in the church office so you can check them out in person. • love came down at christmas: daily readings for advent

    by sinclair b ferguson

Love is at the heart of Christmas.

It's the reason behind all our gathering and gift-giving at this time of year. In this Advent devotional, Dr Sinclair B Ferguson refreshes our hearts as we reflect on the source it all – love incarnate, Jesus Christ.

Over the course of December, this devotional walks through 1 Corinthians 13 phrase-by-phrase, showing us that "love is" the Lord Jesus himself.

Sinclair Ferguson brings the rich theology of the incarnation to life with his trademark warmth and clarity. Drawing on stories from the Gospels, we'll see what "love" looked like in the life of Christ, and be challenged us to love like him during the Christmas season. Each day's reading finishes with carols and hymns for reflection and prayer.

However you're feeling weary or frantic, lonely or love sick, your heart will be refreshed as you wonder again at the truth that love came down at Christmas in the person of Jesus Christ.

Join Christians Past and Present in Celebrating the Promise of Christmas

Between purchasing presents and planning travel, enjoying holiday pageants and attending parties, it is all too easy for Christmas to sneak up on people and crowd out a quiet anticipation of the season’s truths. Ligon Duncan, Randy Alcorn, John MacArthur, Francis Schaeffer, R. C. Sproul, R. Kent Hughes, Alistair Begg, Tim Keller, Skip Ryan, and Joni Eareckson Tada to beckon you and your family into the wonder of Jesus’ incarnation and birth.
