Music and Worship
At the heart of the Music and Worship Ministry of First Baptist Church, our passion is to lead people to worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our purpose is carried out through the utilization of talents and abilities that God has placed within His people in the area of music, media, and drama.
worship choir
The adult Worship Choir ministers each week during Sunday worship services. In addition, the choir presents two productions annually – Christmas Praise, and the Ellijay Passion Play.
Two Weekly Rehearsal Options:
Wednesday: 7:00 - 8:30 pm in the main sanctuary.
Sunday: 1:30 - 2:30 pm in the choir room.
We invite new members to come and join us.
orchestra
Our orchestra meets each Wednesday 700-8:30 pm in the main sanctuary. Under the direction of Scott Eaton, the orchestra plays each Sunday for worship and accompanies the Sanctuary Choir. The also play in our two annual productions - Christmas Praise and the Ellijay Passion Play. Players should be able to play at high school level.

An auditioned group made up of members from the Worship Choir, the Praise Team leads in the worship services each Sunday.
WORSHIP QUEST
Worship Quest meets each Wednesday from 4:00 -5:00 p.m.
Calling all children age 4 (as of May 31st) through 5th grade: you are invited to join us weekly on Wednesdays from 4:00-5:00 to learn about worship & music! Worship Quest will explore the many ways in which we can worship, including singing, playing instruments, and the reading of Scripture. Contact Scott at scott@fbcellijay.com to learn more!
media ministry
Our Media Team works as a support unit in several ways in the life of our church.
Each Sunday the Media Ministry strives to serve as a team in the areas of TV broadcasting, sound, and video projection. We are always looking for individuals who have interests in audio, camera operation, computer graphics, and editing.
